Refund policy
Right of withdrawal and refund (14 days)
In accordance with consumer protection requirements, you have 14 calendar days from each relevant first payment to request a full refund:
- your first paid subscription (Paddle), after the free trial period;
- your first credit purchase (pawaPay).
To exercise this right, email contact@ekklesi.fr with your Ekklesi account email and transaction reference (Paddle or pawaPay). We will acknowledge your request and process the refund within a reasonable time, using the same payment method as the original purchase.
After this 14-day period for a given payment, that payment becomes final and is no longer refundable.
General policy
Beyond the 14-day withdrawal period described above, refunds are not granted for billing periods already paid, unused portions of an ongoing subscription, or credits already purchased.
This policy applies to all payments, whether you chose Paddle (card) or pawaPay (Mobile Money).
Payments and billing
Ekklesi offers two payment providers depending on your church's chosen method at first purchase:
- Paddle (card): monthly subscription; Paddle acts as Merchant of Record for billing and VAT.
- pawaPay (Mobile Money, Africa): month-credit payments via MTN, Orange, M-Pesa and other supported operators; transactions are processed by pawaPay.
Free trial period
When you sign up, your church gets 30 days of free access to the full site (homepage, news, announcements and teachings), with no credit card required. No payment is made during this period.
Paid access to the service
After the free period, paid access is required to continue using the service:
- With Paddle (card): a single monthly subscription at €59.99/month, everything included (homepage, news, announcements and teachings).
- With pawaPay (Mobile Money): access is provided through month credits (€59.99/month reference price, converted to local currency). Access remains active while credits cover the current period.
Disabling a feature
Disabling a module (teachings, news or announcements) by an administrator takes effect immediately on the public site. No refund or credit is granted for the current period or credits already consumed.
Stopping paid service
-
With Paddle (card): you can cancel your subscription at any time via the Paddle customer portal (accessible from your Ekklesi account). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refund is granted for the period already billed, unless requested within the 14-day period following the relevant payment.
-
With pawaPay (Mobile Money): there is no automatic recurring subscription. Access to paid features ends when your credits are exhausted and you do not top up again from your Ekklesi account. Purchased credits are not refundable beyond the 14-day withdrawal period applicable to the purchase in question.
Immediate performance of the service
By subscribing or purchasing credits, you request immediate performance of the digital service before the withdrawal period expires. This choice does not waive your right to request a full refund within 14 days of the relevant payment, as set out in the first section of this policy.
Billing and refund questions
For any question about an invoice, transaction (amount, reference, service access), or a refund request within the 14-day period, contact us at contact@ekklesi.fr with your account email and transaction ID (Paddle or pawaPay) if applicable.
Disputes
If a dispute cannot be resolved directly, you may use consumer mediation services or other remedies available under applicable law.
